Psychrometric Test Room

PSYCHROMETRIC TEST ROOM

Climatic Testing Systems, Inc. (CTS) designs and manufactures Psychrometric Test Rooms, in accordance with Ashrae Standard 37, that are used by air conditioner manufacturers to determine the thermal performance of unitary air conditioners, split systems and heat pumps. 

Dual, environmentally controlled rooms are used to simulate indoor and outdoor conditions.  The Air Enthalpy Method is used to determine unit capacities and obtain heat balances.  Code Testers utilizing AMCA nozzles and designed specifically to ASHRAE Standards, are used to measure air flows and outlet conditions from the Unit Under Test (UUT). 

CTS provides a fully automated Data Acquisition and Control System utilizing LabView to control the test room parameters, perform calculations and provide reports.  The software allows the user to create his own tests or perform any standard ARI test.

CTS offers Psychrometric Test Rooms with various tonnage ranges with a 10:1 turndown range for each facility.
